COURSE DESCRIPTION

Study Mode
A face-to-face training and workplace-based mode are employed for this qualification and all training will take place at Astral Skills Institute of Australia’s training facilities and in a commercial training kitchen.
Delivery Method
The Diploma of Hospitality Management qualification is delivered through a combination of face-to-face training and workplace-based learning. All training sessions will be conducted at Astral Skills Institute of Australia’s training facilities, including a fully equipped commercial training kitchen.
The delivery method involves a blended approach, which incorporates face-to-face sessions, individual and/or group assignments, practical demonstrations, workshops, and simulated environments. Scheduled training sessions will take place at the institute’s training facilities, while practical sessions will be held in the fully equipped kitchen facility. Some units may require candidates to complete work placements to meet the requirements of the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).
Assessment Methods
Assessment tasks are ongoing throughout the duration of the Diploma of Hospitality Management qualification until candidates demonstrate competency in the required assessment tasks. The assessment methods may include, but are not limited to, knowledge questions, written assessments, presentations, projects, role-plays, logbooks, reports, practical demonstrations, and observations.

RTO Requirements for International students
International students interested in enrolling at Astral Skills Institute of Australia must meet the following requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Have completed at least Year 12 or an equivalent qualification.
- Participate in a course entry interview to assess suitability and individual needs.
- Demonstrate English language competence by providing an IELTS score of 6.0 (test results must be no more than 2 years old). Alternatively, English language competence can be demonstrated through documented evidence of having been educated for at least 5 years in an English-speaking country or successful completion of a recognized English Placement Test. Other English language tests such as PTE and TOEFL may also be accepted if equivalent to IELTS 6.0.
