SIT60322 – Advanced Diploma of Hospitality Management spans over a total of 104 weeks, comprising 83 weeks of training and assessment distributed across 8 terms of 10 weeks each, with an additional 21 weeks allocated for holidays.

Study Mode

The training will utilize a blended approach, comprising 15 hours of face-to-face instruction and 5 hours of supervised online study per week.

 

Delivery Method

All training sessions will be conducted at Astral Skills Institute of Australia’s training facilities, including a fully equipped commercial training kitchen.

The delivery method involves a blended approach, which incorporates face-to-face sessions, individual and/or group assignments, practical demonstrations, workshops, and simulated environments. Scheduled training sessions will take place at the institute’s training facilities, while practical sessions will be held in the fully equipped kitchen facility. Some units may require candidates to complete work placements to meet the requirements of the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).

Assessment Methods

This course will be delivered in blended mode (face-to-face and supervised online learning) and face-to-face training in the kitchen. Assessments are conducted using a variety of methods for theory and practical. You will receive details of assessment tasks to be completed at the beginning of delivery of each unit on ASIA Moodle. All assessments are conducted in accordance with the Principles of Assessment (fairness, flexibility, validity and reliability) and Rules of Evidence (validity, sufficiency, authenticity and currency).

What you will achieve

Upon completion of the SIT60322 Advanced Diploma of Hospitality Management course, students will learn how to manage finances, recruit and manage staff, ensure quality customer service, navigate regulatory requirements, and establish a safe work environment. They will also develop leadership and management skills, master advanced sales techniques, create and implement marketing strategies and business plans, and manage workplace diversity

RTO Requirements for International students

International students interested in enrolling at Astral Skills Institute of Australia must meet the following requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Have completed at least Year 12 or an equivalent qualification.
  • Participate in a course entry interview to assess suitability and individual needs.

  • Demonstrate English language competence by providing an IELTS score of 6.0 (test results must be no more than 2 years old). Alternatively, English language competence can be demonstrated through documented evidence of having been educated for at least 5 years in an English-speaking country or successful completion of a recognized English Placement Test. Other English language tests such as PTE and TOEFL may also be accepted if equivalent to IELTS 6.0.

Credit Transfer
